5/10/2016: People live in south of China like to eat rice. People live in north of China like to eat anything made out of flour, such as noodle, dumplings and scallion crisp. But people live in Taiwan like to eat rice and noodle since they went to Taiwan from different provinces of north and south.
My father took the family to Taiwan on 1949 when communist took over mainland China. My older sister was eight, my brother was six, my twin sister and I were only five years old. We grow up with both rice and product made out of flour in Taiwan.
After each of us having our own family for 40 some years, my twin sister likes white rice more, I like brown rice more and my brother likes pasta much more than rice.
When we get together making some dumplings, my brother always likes to use the remain dough to make a couple of scallion crisp if the filling runs out first.
Here is a display of simple dinner for one that includes scallion crisp, stir-fried shrimp with corn and peas and stuffed poblano pepper.
