Sweet & Sour Baby Back Ribs

7/16/2017: This is very popular dish among Chinese families. Especially most kids love sweet and sour dish regardless it’s ribs or just pork or fish.

Ingredients:

Baby back ribs, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar or rock candy (from Asian supermarket), ginger, garlic, scallions.

Instruction:

  • Cut all baby back ribs individually between bones, here I bought six strings of them from Chinese supermarket.
  • Brown them in the grape seeds oil with ginger and garlic under medium heat.
  • Added soy sauce, vinegar, white part of scallions and sugar or rock candy to the pot and water to cover the baby back ribs.
  • Cook under medium heat until it’s done. Thicken the sauce with cornstarch.
  • Garnished with sesame seeds and green part of scallions after transferring to the serving plate.
