Chocolate Cake with Cream Cheese, Sour Cream and Whip Cream Frosting

on

7/16/2018: Chocolate cake has been the number one choice from all cakes by my family. Here is a chocolate cake recipe that I tried today and like it very much. Hope you give it a try.

Ingredients:

(2) cups of all-purpose flour, (2) cups sugar, (3/4 ) cup unsweetened cocoa powder, (1&1/2) teaspoons baking soda, (2) teaspoons baking powder, (1) teaspoon salt. (2) 2″ high and 9″ round baking pans (grease and flour them if they are not non-sticky pans).

(1) cup of milk, (1/2) cup vegetable oil, (2) eggs, (2) teaspoons vanilla extract, (1) cup boiling water, dissolved (1) teaspoon expresso powder or instant coffee (as I did) in it.

Directions:

  1. In a big bowl, mix all dry ingredients together well first.
  2. In another smaller bowl, mix all liquid ingredients.
  3. Pour the liquid ingredients slowly into the dry ingredients bowl and use mixer mix them well.
  4. Turn on oven to 350 degree.
  5. Pour half each of the cake mix into the two 9″ round baking pans.
  6. Bake 35-45 minutes. Stick a chop stick or tooth pick into both cakes and if it comes out clean which means the cake are ready.
  7. Take they out of the oven, wait for them cool down, then put them in refrigerator a coup of hours.
  8. Slice each cake half and put the frosting inside.

Frosting Ingredients and instruction:

I used (4) Philadelphia original cream cheese (8 oz. each), (1) can of 4 oz. sour cream, (1) 8 oz. whip cream, (1/3) cup of powder sugar. Use mixer to blend all ingredients well.

The quantity of ingredients is flexible and up to how big is the cake and how sweet you want the cake taste.

Enjoy it!
