Steamed Egg or Egg Custard

01/29/2019: It has been a while since I posted last recipe. Time seems just fly by everyday.  I can’t believe it’s already February of 2019. You and your family will love this egg dish if you have baby or young kid. My three years old granddaughter and nine months old grandson just love this dish and it become a regular dish on our dinner table. It’s really easy to make and turn out perfect every time.

Ingredients:

(2) eggs just for two kids or (4) eggs for the whole family of 5 as mine.

(1) cup of chicken stock or any other clear stock for (2) eggs. If you don’t have stock, use (1) cup of water plus 1/8 tsp salt.

Sesame oil, soy sauce add at the end when the eggs are done.

Instruction:

  1. Mix eggs and chicken stock or water inside a bowl well.
  2. Wait until the water inside the steamer is hot, then put the bowl inside the steamer and add a lid or a plate to cover the bowl, so the steam won’t get inside the bowl.
  3. Cook time for 2 eggs is 6 minutes. Turn off the steamer and wait for another 5 minutes before opening the steamer and lid.
  4. Add (2) tsp of sesame oil and soy sauce to the surface and cut the eggs and service.
  5. I added some chopped scallions before serving just for the look. My granddaughter doesn’t like the scallions. But all grownup don’t mind to have it.
